Moving comes in all shapes and sizes.
At Britannia Appleyards of South Yorkshire we regularly ship the odd item whether it be a suitcase of clothes that didn’t fit in with your baggage allowance, a model aeroplane for your grandson for his Birthday or even a box of China passed down from generation to generation.
Britannia Appleyards load groupage consignments on a regular basis and can be found loading two or three containers a week for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.
Over destinations Include Greece, Malta, India, Jamaica, Turkey, China, Cyprus, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina and U.A.E
Just recently we were asked to collect a Tea service from Barnsley and ship it safely to Canada.
Ian our member of staff was hand picked to go and pack Mrs Smiths tea service for its long journey, it takes roughly 30 minutes to pack each box of china to allow for any movement and to make sure it all arrives in one piece but this is where Ian’s 28 years experience comes in.
Mrs Smith first became a customer in 2007 after a move to Grindelwald Switzerland and since then we have carried out many moves to and from the UK for family and friends and neighbours.
Some items we ship are not high value or are a mix of papers and books and we generally find customers are happy to pack these to save on the cost.
Items can be collected packed by yourselves or the goods can be delivered direct to our store at Rotherham.
All items will be Bar coded and inventoried so nothing is lost en route to its destination.
The same service also applies to new furniture sourced in the UK and delivered to us direct from the manufacturer.
