Removals to France
The Poitou Charentes region districts 79, 86 ,16 and 17 has become the hotspot in France towards the end of 2013. We have seen a sudden surge in property sales.
UK residents choose this area because of the mild climate, largely rural areas with a low population density.
Land usage is mainly for vineyards and farming but is slowly starting to become a popular area for tourists, ideal if you are looking to start own gite business.
The local government has stated it intends to invest heavily in the area over the next two to three years. This can only be good news for investment properties.
Many places within the Poitou Charentes area are within four hours driving of the ports of Roscoff, St Malo and Caen for easy links to the UK. Some areas can be reached without using the Autoroute.
